1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Culture Curve ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Platform Description

Culture Curve is a cultural intelligence platform that enables users to vote on culturally relevant questions and view aggregate results. The Platform collects structured opinion data, presents demographic breakdowns, and tracks how beliefs shift over time. Culture Curve is an editorial data platform, not a social network, poll app, or survey tool.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. Account Registration

To access full features (commenting, question submissions), you must create an account and complete onboarding by providing a username, birth year, and country. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration.

Usernames must be between 3 and 20 characters and may contain only letters, numbers, and underscores. Usernames that impersonate others, contain offensive language, or violate these Terms may be removed.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Submit content that contains hate speech, threats, harassment, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Submit sexually explicit, violent, or graphic content
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Attempt to manipulate voting results through bots, scripts, multiple accounts, or coordinated inauthentic behavior
• Circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform in bulk without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
• Use the Platform to distribute spam, advertising, or unsolicited messages

7. Content Guidelines

All user-generated content must adhere to the following guidelines. Content that violates these guidelines may be removed, and your account may be suspended or terminated:

• No hate speech, slurs, or content designed to dehumanize groups or individuals
• No threats of violence or encouragement of self-harm
• No harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse
• No doxxing or sharing of private personal information
• No spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation
• No deliberately misleading or fraudulent content

8. Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to moderate, hide, or remove any content that violates these Terms or Content Guidelines. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or severely violate our policies. Moderation decisions are logged and may be reviewed, but we are not obligated to provide advance notice or detailed explanations for enforcement actions.

9. Intellectual Property

The Culture Curve platform, including its design, branding, data visualizations, aggregate data, and editorial content, is owned by Culture Curve. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without our written permission, except as permitted by fair use or share features provided by the Platform.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion:

• Your profile data (username, demographics) will be permanently deleted
• Your votes will be anonymized (user identifier removed) to preserve aggregate data integrity
• Your comments will have their content replaced with "[deleted]"
• This action is irreversible

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Culture Curve presents aggregate opinion data and does not endorse, validate, or recommend any particular viewpoint expressed through voting results or user-generated content.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Culture Curve and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Culture Curve and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you must stop using the Platform.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
